Dr. Laith Jazrawi - Sports Medicine Visiting Professor at University of Ottawa Orthopedic Surgery September 27th-28th, 2017
On September 27-28th, 2017, University of Ottawa Orthopaedic Surgery hosted Dr. Jazrawi as visiting professor of Sports Medicine, continuing the collegial relationship between the orthopedic surgery departments of the University of Ottawa and NYU School of Medicine.
The 2-day program began with a welcome banquet and dinner at the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club. The following day, Dr. Jazrawi hosted Orthopedic Rounds, and presented on "Osteotomies Around the Knee: when, where, how, and why do you need to know about them as Sports Medicine Specialists." In the afternoon, at the University of Ottawa Simulation Center, staff, fellows, and residents presented cases to Dr. Jazrawi, followed by a surgical video presentation by Dr. Jazrawi and a motor skills knee lab for residents and fellows.
The program was a great success and continues the tradition of sharing orthopedic knowledge, surgical techniques, and clinical research between the two distinguished orthopedic departments.
