Runner's World Features NYU's Running Performance Program

Runner’s World editor, Katie Neitz sought holistic help from a team of therapists at a running clinic at New York University’s Langone Medical Center in Manhattan where the clinic’s chief goal is to help healthy, injury-free runners stay that way.

The sports-medicine physicians and the sports-rehab physical therapists at Langone, who regularly team up to treat injured runners, recognized that so many of their patients’ injuries— whether foot, knee, or hip complaints— stemmed from similar issues.

They imagined the good they could do if they could identify and correct these weaknesses before a full-blown injury developed.
