Current Concepts in the Treatment of Rotator Cuff Tears
The treatment of rotator cuff tears has evolved dramatically over the past several years. Rotator cuff repair techniques have improved significantly in past several years with gradual transition to more arthroscopic repairs. This half-day program will focus on the most up-to-date information on the treatment of rotator cuffs from the basic science, clinical assessment, and surgical options, to post-op rehabilitation and outcomes.

This program will address the biologic approach to the treatment of cartilage injuries, using marrow stimulation techniques, osteochondral grafting and cell-based repair methods to fill symptomatic defects.

Treatment of Locked Posterior Shoulder Dislocation With Bone Defect
Locked posterior shoulder dislocation is an uncommon condition and is associated with a reverse Hill-Sachs lesion in 50% of cases. The condition is likely to occur in cases of violent trauma, seizures, or electric shock. Unrecognized dislocation with humeral head fracture affects joint function and humeral head vascularity and may lead to chronic instability, osteonecrosis, and osteoarthritis.
Rates of Complications and Secondary Surgeries After In Situ Cubital Tunnel Release Compared With Ulnar Nerve Transposition: A Retrospective Review
The short-term complication rates of cubital tunnel surgery are low (3.2%), but higher for patients with chronic kidney disease. The secondary surgery rate after cubital tunnel surgery was 5.7% overall, but higher for patients with prior elbow trauma and for patients undergoing ulnar nerve transposition.
